We met on Tinder! Sara had previously arranged for Karen to show up mid way through the date in case it was a disaster. Since it wasn't, Jesse was invited to go have curry with Sara + Karen. We've been together ever since that first date at Trolley Stop!

Location & Attire

Our wedding & reception are both at McLeod Plantation in James Island, starting at 4pm on the dot. Wear beach/Southern casual, or whatever you want. Weather will likey be upper 70s to mid-80s and the venue is entirely outside. We don’t want you to be hot!

After knowing each other only a month we booked a trip to Europe for two weeks. We also went to San Diego, the Smoky Mountains, LA and many other mini-trips! Our favorite things to do are travel and drink bourbon. We have had so many fun travel adventures together and are constantly planning our next!

Where to stay

The wedding is technically on James Island, but it's very close to downtown and Mount Pleasant so everything will be an easy/cheap Uber away. We recommend staying either downtown or near our house by the Mount Pleasant Towne Center.

In January 2017 we got engaged at the top of the Rockefeller Center in NYC. It really was a magical moment, on top of the whole world in the middle of the night!

Food & Drink

Most options will be vegan or vegetarian with some local, happy fish. And maybe pizza later on. There will be an open, free bar yaayyy. Non-alcoholic options available also. No sweet tea. This might be the South but we aren’t crazy.

What to do in Charleston

Charleston keeps getting named America’s most beautiful city, and it’s also home to a world-class food scene. Check out some of the many rooftop bars, hang out on gorgeous beaches, take a boat ride to Fort Sumter, or take a history walk through the penninsula near the Battery.
Check out a list of our fav eats!

  • Barsa (happy hour paella!)
  • Roadside Seafood
  • LoLA Louisiana Kitchen
  • Dellz Uptown (vegan + meat)
  • Gnome Cafe (vegan)
  • Vickery’s (head to back outdoor bar for harbor/marsh view)
  • Cane Rhum Bar
  • Darling Oyster Bar

Alan and Samantha love their new dad!
